59E59 Theaters is an Off Broadway theater complex located in New York City, USA. Comprising three theater spaces, the complex is owned and operated by the Elysabeth Kleinhans Theatrical Foundation, a not-for-profit foundation that is dedicated to bringing innovative and experimental work to the under-served East Side of Manhattan.

Since 2004, 59E59 has been the home of Primary Stages who are now entering their 26th season.

59E59 presents the New York premieres of Off-Broadway and Off-Off-Broadway productions by not-for-profit companies across America and around the world. The complex hosts two annual festivals: Brits Off Broadway[1], which brings new work from British playwrights to New York and East to Edinburgh, a preview of new plays going to the Edinburgh Festival Fringe.

The 2010 Brits Off Broadway Festival featured Haunted by Edna O'Brien Starring Brenda Blethyn, Peter Nichols' Lingua Franca, An Audience with Mrs Moneypenny, Cabaret with Bonnie Langford, as well as new plays by Hywel John, Carl Caulfield, Inspector Sands, and a rediscovered and newly uncensored play by John Osborne & Anthony Creighton.

The Winter 2011 Season features: A Primary Stages Production of Black Tie by A.R. Gurney, Screenplay by Scott Brooks, Room 17B by Mike Dobson & Joel Jeske, In Your Image by Ron Benson, The Body Politic by Richard Abrons & Margarett Perry, Clifford Chase's Winkie Adapted by Matt Pelfrey, Play Nice! by Robin Rice Lichtig, and The Promise by Douglas Maxwell, which is part of Scotland Week in New York.
